The second flood peak on the Yangtze, China's longest river, has formed in the middle and lower reaches.
The flooding comes after continuous intense downpours along the river's drainage area. The Yangtze River has seen 16 rounds of strong rainfalls since mid-March. Precipitation along the Yangtze has been around 20 percent more than previous years. The river saw its first flood peak at 2 p.m. Friday.
