The torch relay ahead of this summer’s Olympics in Rio is ongoing. The flame made its way to Iguazu, which is famous because it is on the border of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. And this portion of the journey had some Chinese flavor, as several people from the world’s most populous nation were selected to carry the torch.
The Chinese torchbearers arrived in Brazil a couple of days ago, and the long distance flight did not dampen their Olympic spirits.
One of the torchbearer was Lang Lang, the famous pianist. This is the third time that he has been able to carry the torch, as he was selected as a runner for the 2008 Beijing Games and in 2012 in London.
This portion of the relay was held in Iguazu, which is Brazil’s second largest tourism center, and there was a special performance as Lang played Yellow River in front of the famous waterfall.
