EU leaders will meet today to discuss the UK's withdrawal from the bloc. Our correspondent is now outside the EU's headquarters in Brussels.

Q1: Leaders of Germany, France and Italy have urged the UK to start the process to leave as soon as possible. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said yesterday there will be no informal talks before the country activates Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, which notifies the EU of its intention to leave. Why is that?
