England taking on debutant Iceland. The Three Lions are seeking their first win in the knockout stage of a major tournament since a 1-nil win over Ecuador at the 2006 World Cup. And besides battling the opposition, it seems there is dissention in the ranks -- as there are rumbling there has been a fallout between captain Wayne rooney and Jamie vardy. The England manager quickly quashed those rumours.
Rooney and the rest of the England squad trained at their Chantilly base on Sunday, before travelling to Nice to take on Iceland in the last 16. Manager Roy Hodgson has options up front with Harry Kane, Daniel Sturridge and Jamie Vardy all fit. Rooney is expected to feature in the starting line-up after starting on the bench against Slovakia in England's final group game. Should England beat Iceland they will meet France in the quarter-finals.
