Full coverage: Summer Davos Forum 2016
The World Economic Forum established the Annual Meeting of the New Champions in 2007. It's also known as Summer Davos and is held annually in China alternating between Dalian and Tianjin.
The Summer Davos is a discussion platform for Global Growth Companies, primarily from rapidly growing emerging countries like China, India, Russia and Mexico. It also includes growing companies from developed countries.
In 2015, it focused on the performance of the Chinese economy, saying it was stable and moving in a positive direction. In 2013 and 2014, innovation for more growth and values was the key message amid a downturn in the world economy.
