Full coverage: Successful Launch of Long March-7 Rocket
The rocket has been moved to the launch pad in Wenchang Satellite Launch Center from the test lab this morning. The launch center in Hainan, which is China's first one by the coast, is advantageous for the launch of the Long March 7, with its low latitude location.
However, the meteorological environment in the region is rather complicated and volatile, as it sees high temperature levels, humidity, and storms.
Meteorologists have started preparations for the launch since the initial building stage. They drew on experiences from the Hainan Meteorological Bureau and compared all meteorological records since 2006 in order to better learn about the weather conditions in Wenchang.
