According to Russian media Sputnik news agency, all Islamic state militants have been eliminated in the Iraqi city of Fallujah. The agency cited an Iraqi military officer, who also ruled out the possibility of existing extremists inside the city.

Meanwhile, government forces are screening all men who have fled the city, in a bid to prevent militants from disguising themselves as civilians. The victory in Fallujah comes nearly a month after the offensive against the Islamic State was launched.
