China’s First Lady, Peng Liyuan, has visited a special education school in Belgrade. She watched students from the Sirogojno school dancing and making handicrafts. She also exchanged gifts with some of the pupils.

Also on Peng’s agenda for Saturday was a visit to the Jevremovac Botanical Gardens in central Belgrade. Together with Serbian First Lady Dragica Nikolic, Peng planted a rare Chinese dove tree.

Later in the day, Peng visited a local tennis academy named after world number one player, Novak Djokovic. She gifted the academy a Chinese translation of Djokovic’s autobiography. Peng is accompanying her husband, China’s president Xi Jinping, on his current three-nation tour.
