A number of cooperation deals are expected to be signed during President Xi Jinping's visit to Serbia, in sectors such as economy, trade, industrial capacity and finance.
On Friday, China's central bank signed a currency swap deal worth 1.5 billion yuan ($228million) with the National Bank of Serbia. The pact will last three years and can be extended if the two sides agree.
In April this year, China's HeSteel Group acquired Serbia's only steel mill for 46 million euros. Foreign Minister Wang Yi spoke highly of the deal, hailing it as the flagship project of China-Serbia practical cooperation.
