President Xi has also met with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic. The two leaders agreed to promote bilateral pragmatic cooperation.
President Xi said China-Serbia cooperation has a broader prospect as a result. He added that cooperation between China and Central and Eastern Europe has maintained rapid growth and entered a time of harvest. He called on both sides to build the CEE into a priority area for China-Europe partnership.
For his part, Vucic said it is in line with the interests of both peoples to deepen their traditional friendship. He also said Serbia welcomes more investment from China.
President Xi also met with the Speaker of the National Assembly Maja Gojkovic. They vowed more communication and cooperation between the two countries' lawmaking bodies.
