President Xi Jinping's visit to Serbia is also proving to be a hit among Chinese nationals in Serbia.

"President Xi's visit is the most exciting thing for me in the 17 years I've been in Serbia. The Serbian president and the First Lady visited China in 2015 to attend  the 70th Anniversary World War II Victory Parade," said Guo Xiao, chairman of Sino-Serbia Cultural Exchange Association.

"The First Lady told me about her experiences in China. She said she was overwhelmed by the hospitality from the Chinese government, the like of which she had never received before."

"It means a lot for Serbia that President Xi is visiting the country. The visit shows China, as the world's second largest economy, has attached great importance to the ties with Serbia. We have high expectations for his visit," said Zhou Haiying, chairman of  China Trade Center.

"Personally I think there's great trade potential between China and Serbia. The two countries have much to complement each other's economies. So I believe their trade ties will be enhanced after this visit."
