Langping's side had lost to the Americans at the 2014 world championship and 2015 world cup. But with key players from the USA squad absent, the hosts were looking to claim the crown on hopme turf.

But the hosts would have the edge in the opener, leading 23-20, and then add another to their total as the Yanks hit this spike out. China wrap up the first set 25 to 20.

Off to the second set, and again the Americans can't keep the ball in play -- that makes it 6-6 as China take the frame 25-19. And lead 2-sets-to nothing.

But the current World No.1 US team would make some changes in the line up in the third, that helped them get back into the contest, spiking their way to a 25-15 victory.

The fourth set would be extremely tight, but the host would break the tie with a smart drop that just lands in, and that gives them a 22-21 edge.

Off to match point -- and China keep the play alive, and are able to hit one off the wall, and that proves to be the winning point, as they win 3-sets-to-1. 25-23 in the fourth to claim first place in Beilun.
