China has expressed its shock and condemned the mass shooting in Orlando. A foreign ministry spokesman says China is against any form of violence on innocent people. He added that there have been no reports that Chinese nationals were injured in the attack.

"We are shocked by this incident. The US government and other relevant parties are dealing with the aftermath, including determining the nature of the incident. But no matter what, as we have always insisted, China is against any form of violence on innocent people. At this difficult moment, we stand together with the American People," said Lu Kang, spokesman of Chinese Foreign Ministry.
