Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer says police have identified all forty-nine of the people who died in the Orlando nightclub shooting.

The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the attack. US authorities have not found any clear links between the terrorist group and the shooter -- but are investigating the incident as an act of terrorism. The shooter had been questioned several times by the FBI but was not on a terrorism watch list.

People around the world are holding demonstrations to honor the victims of the attack. Mourners held up candles and pride flags at a vigil in Orlando to mark the worst mass shooting in recent US history.
