Women's PGA Championship: 19-year-old World No. 1 Lydia Ko seeking third straight major win

To the golf course, where World Number One Lydia Ko had been somewhat quiet during the first two rounds of the Women's PGA Championship. But the 19-year-old from New Zealand would make her presence very evident on Day Three, by chasing down the top spot on the leaderboard, and putting herself in position to win a third consecutive major.

Fellow teenager Brooke Henderson comes in tied for first place, and the Canadian's approach at seven bounces favorably to set up the first of her two birdies, but the 18-year-old slips to joint fourth, at even-par.

Mirim Lee under a tree at 18, but the overnight co-leader squares the ball onto the green before getting a beautiful roll. And it looks like she might hole out, but the ball just misses the cup. The South Korean settles for par, and a piece of fourth place.

Their struggles open the door for Ko, whose third birdie of the afternoon comes on the 15th green, and the sport's top ranked player has a one-shot lead.

The New Zealander sits at minus-two going into the final round, one stroke ahead of Brittany Lincicome and Gerina Piller. Feng Shanshan is tied for 23rd.

Mickelson, Points, Stricker tied for second at minus-seven

Phil Mickelson looking to save par on the 18th hole of the St. Jude Classic, and "Lefty" is knotted for second at seven-under, after Round Three.

But everyone is chasing Daniel Berger, who nails a birdie from the rough at 17, and leads by three shots.

Berger is at minus-10, followed by the trio of Mickelson, Steve Stricker, and DA Points. Dustin Johnson fell off the pace after carding a three-over-par 73.
