Besides Zika and security concerns in Brazil, political chaos is also grilling the nation.

Protesters in Rio rallied on Friday against the interim government of acting President Michel Temer. Protesters chanted "Oust Temer" and criticized his conservative austerity measures. Temer's popularity has been undermined by policy reversals and allegations of corruption of his ministers.

Earlier this week, a poll suggested more than a quarter of Brazilians view Temer's government negatively and a majority want new elections this year.

Brazil's suspended President Dilma Rousseff wants a referendum on whether to hold snap elections, if she survives her ongoing impeachment trial in the Senate. The trial is expected to conclude in August.
