Zongzi is a traditional food that Chinese people enjoy during the Dragon Boat Festival. This year, giant pandas at the Wild Animal Zoo in Kunming City, the capital of southwest China’s Yunnan Province, will also have a taste of "zongzi".

Zookeepers prepared "zongzi"for the two pandas with unique recipes.

This is their first ever Dragon Boat Festival. We made special 'zongzi' for them to celebrate it. This 'zongzi' is different from what we eat, as the filling is made from their favorite corn bread and fruits," said Yang Cheng, zookeeper.

"Hexing" and "Nan nan" weren't too impressed with the surprise in the beginning.

After finishing their normal meal of apples and bamboo, the two giant pandas cautiously tasted the dessert which they haven't seen before.

But after the first bite, "Hexing" and "Nannan" find it was simply difficult to stop indulging themselves.

Surprisingly, the two creatures knew how to drop the wrappers of the "zongzi" and only eat the delicious fillings.
