The Dragon Boat Festival is not only celebrated in China, but also in many other countries across Asia.
The Japanese celebrate the festival on May 5th every year of the western calendar. They drink the calamus wine and put up carp flags called Koinobori, to wish their boys to become a brave man when they grow up.
In Singapore, an international dragon boat race is held during the festival, with teams from all over the world participating in.
Vietnamese, on the other hand, wear cloths knitted by colorful threads and drink realgar wine in pray for a good year.
