The Shangri-La Dialogue, Asia's largest annual security forum, has closed in Singapore. Territorial disputes in the South China Sea dominated the three-day meeting.
US defense Secretary Ash Carter and Chinese Admiral Sun Jianguo both delivered speeches on the issue. Both used the key word "challenge" in the title of their addresses. Tensions on the Korean Peninsula were also discussed after the DPRK's latest attempted missile launches. Talks about renewed concern over jihadist terrorism in south east Asia was also on the agenda.
