Chinese Embassy in Germany says German state Saxony-Anhalt's interior ministry and procuratorate have promised a fair investigation of the murder case of a Chinese student.
25-year-old Li Yangjie was murdered in the city of Dessau-Rosslau last month. On May 23rd, local police arrested two 20-year-old, a male and a female, on suspicion of Li's murder. According to German media, the step father of the male suspect is the local police chief, while his mother is policewoman.
Chinese diplomats have met with Saxony-Anhalt's state secretary of interior ministry, and urged fair investigation and protection of Chinese citizens safety. The local state secretary says case has been transferred to police elsewhere.
Local interior ministry is working closely with procuratorate for fair investigation. Chinese embassy says it will continue following the case.
