A friendly between Spain and South Korea. La Roja, the two-time defending Eupo champs were looking to continue their strong warm-up campaign to the tournament with a victory over the Taeguk warriors, and Vicente del Bosque's side showed they have no desires to let go of their title, as they look for their third straight continental title.
After a goalless first half hour, Spain won a free-kick in a dangerous position after a clumsy tackle on Alvaro Morata.
Manchester City's David Silva steps up and expertly curls this shot over the wall beyond goalkeeper Jin-Hyeon Kim to give Spain the lead.
Within a minute and a half Spain take advantage of a defensive miscue by the Asians -- as this pass back to the keeper leads to Cesc Fabregas' easy finish.
It was 3-0 six minutes before half-time as Nolito scored easily after being played in by Silva. The South Koreans way want to look at playing defense.
Five minutes after the restart, the two-time Euro champions were up 4-nil when Alvaro Morata heads home this corner.
Just four minutes later, Hector Bellerin plays the ball back for Nolito to score his second goal of the game. 5-nil -- and it is a laugher.
South Korea were able to find the net -- as seven minutes from time when Ju Sejong's strike went in off Soriano Bruno. So the Taeguk warriors do get a consolation goal.
But Spain had the last word when more suspect defending allowed Morata to score his second from a tight angle. It finished 6-1 to del Bosque's men who start the defence of their title against Czech Republic in Toulouse on June. 13th.
