Two people have been shot dead at the University of California Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department called it a "murder-suicide", with both victims found with gunshot wounds in the engineering building on Wednesday morning. The police also recovered a gun at the scene.

The shooting prompted a campus-wide lockdown as hundreds of officers, and federal agents rushed to the university, where students were preparing for final exams. The lockdown was lifted shortly after noon on Wednesday.
UCLA has more than 43,000 students. It is in the Westwood section of Los Angeles and one of the more well-regarded schools.
