National Center for the Performing Arts isn't just about putting on concerts. It's also about promoting arts exchange and providing young talents with an international platform.
To that end, the center has invited Italian opera-training school, Georg Solti Accademia, to give masterclasses during its 2016 Opera Festival. In the "Solti China Master Classes" - a first for China - leading artists from the Julliard School in New York City, Britain's Royal Opera House, and the Accademia itself are sharing their knowledge and experience with eight professional opera singers.

The NCPA has also organized masterclasses in chamber music. For example, world-famous violinist Kyung-Wha Chung from South Korea, having performed in the NCPA's Concert Hall, gave a class at a local middle school in Beijing.
