Chinese President Xi Jinping and visiting Togolese President Faure Gnassingbe have vowed to push bilateral ties to a new stage.
Following a welcome ceremony, the two presidents held talks at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing Monday afternoon.
Xi said China will encourage Chinese enterprises and financial organizations to take part in Togo’s infrastructure construction. He added that the two sides will further develop cooperation in agriculture and fishery production, as China is assisting in the construction of an agricultural demonstration center.
Gnassingbe said the country will offer better policies and an improved legal environment to attract more Chinese firms. The two leaders also witnessed the signing of various documents on bilateral cooperation.
