Full coverage: G20 Hangzhou Summit
Ahead of the G20 Hangzhou summit, we hear what some journalists have to say about their expectations of the upcoming event.
"The bilateral relationship between China and S. Korea is expected to grow closer after the G20 summit in September. Also, the China-Korean Free Trade Agreement was signed last year. My focus on the G20 summit is how the agreement can work for both sides and its effect," said Park Eunkyung, correspondent of Beijing Bureau, Kyunghyang Daily News.
"It’s unrealistic to expect desired results through a single summit, but face-to-face negotiation and communication is sincere. The topic of the Hangzhou G20 summit is innovation."
"Emerging markets are declining and facing a problem with transformation, so innovation is, no doubt, a major driving force. It’s good to have the G20 member countries understand each others' strength in innovation, like in areas of science and technology, environmental protection, and biological technology. We may achieve agreements with such communication. I think that’s the main point of the G20 summit," said Qin Feng, deputy director of HK Satellite TV.
