Full coverage: G20 Hangzhou Summit
Construction projects have been carried out in the city of Hangzhou ahead of September's G20 summit. CCTV reporter spoke to some local residents about the changes happening in their city.
"I think construction work shouldn't happen during rush hour. On our way here we saw construction workers on the side of the road - that’s dangerous and might cause traffic jams as well," said local resident.
"Of course there have been inconveniences. I have to watch out for potholes on my way to work. But the grass and tree planting in the West Lake area is fabulous, and it may carry on after the summit. That’s good for people here," said local resident.
"The sidewalk and the traffic lane used to be together but now they are clearly separated. I live in this neighborhood and it's much better now. When I used to go abroad people hadn't ever heard of Hangzhou, so I had to say that I came from a 'city near Shanghai'. But the G20 summit has raised our profile and made Hangzhou more popular worldwide," said local resident.
