In Sri Lanka, the death toll from flash floods and landslides has jumped to 92. The country's Disaster Management Center said that over 100 people are still missing and 250,000 have been moved to temporary shelters after rainstorms lashed the island country over the last few days.
Central areas of the country have been worst hit with 57 people killed after two massive landslides last week. The military reports that search efforts continue in Aranayake where the bodies of at least 135 people remain buried. Around 500,000 people have been affected by severe flooding across the country.
