Tourism has become one of the world’s largest industries in recent years. By 2015, there were more than 284 million jobs in the sector, which generated nearly 10 percent of the global GDP. 

World Travel & Tourism Council data shows that more than 107 million jobs were added in the tourism sector last year. The sector is expected to grow 2 percent this year with more than 1.2 billion outbound tourists.
