The yuan dollar mid-point rate has fallen to the lowest level in more than two months to 6.5343 yuan a dollar Monday. That is 97 pips down from Friday. The adjustment came in the wake of a big plunge in the spot market Friday bringing the exchange rate down to a 2-month-low. Analysts say the falling euro and yen and good April retail sales figures have pushed up the dollar index, pressuring down the yuan.
