Hong Kong has sent its first business delegation to Central Asia. The delegation inspected facilities and explored cooperation opportunities during its recent trip to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The group also signed a memorandum of understanding with Kazakhstan.
The visit was orchestrated by both the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce.
The institutions said the Belt and Road Initiative had offered unprecedented opportunities for Hong Kong business people, and they would like to take part in the process and play an active role in it.
