Bayern Munich had already clinched their record setting fourth straight Bundesliga title several weeks ago. But the season finale against Hannover would give the Bavarians an opportunity to officially celebrate the accomplishment in front of their fans at the Allianz Arena, while also providing manager Pep Guardiola a positive send-off, as he will coach in England next season.

Before kick-off, club officials would present Guardiola with a token of their appreciation, for his highly successful three years on the touchline.

Then the hosts get right to work doing what they've done all campaign. Kingsley Coman's attempt is deflected by a defender, but Robert Lewandowski buries the rebound, and it's 1-NIL Bayern in the 12th minute. Waldemar Anton's weak backheel only delays the Polish striker's 30th goal, as the ball bounces past keeper Ron-Robert Zieler.

Munich would soon double their advantage, as Mario Goetze chips past Zieler, making it 2-NIL for the home side in the 28th minute.

The Bavarians get a corner kick in the 54th, and Goetze comes up with the ball, which he blasts in for his second goal of the game. Die Roten with awful luck on deflections in this contest, so it's two goals for Goetze, and a 3-NIL lead for the champs.

Bayern Munich go on to win 3-1, and celebrate in style after the final whistle. They're the first team to earn four straight Bundesliga titles, and will try to make it five under incoming manager Carlo Ancelotti next season.

The Bavarians take the title by 10 points over Borussia Dortmund, with Bayer Leverkusen well back in third place. Moenchengladbach and Schalke round out the Top Five, while Mainz and Hertha Berlin will compete for spots in next season's Europa League. On the other end of the table, Frankfurt will have a relegation playoff against a side from the second tier, which is where Stuttgart and Hannover will play next term.
