China will invest around 4.7 trillion yuan, or 724 billion US dollars in transport infrastructure projects over the next three years, according to an article posted on the website of China's transport ministry.
The article says China will push forward more than 300 key transportation projects, including railways, highways, waterways, airports and urban rail. The investment will improve the country's high-speed transport networks and inter-city links to meet the demands of China's wider economic and social development.
