The Chinese National Orchestra - with world-renowned conductor Wang Chaoge - has brought a concert performed on traditional instruments to the National Center for Performing Arts in Beijing.
The concert brings into the modern era music from the Tang and Song dynasties, some more than a thousand years old. The line-up includes song, solo performance, trios, and ethnic-instrument ensembles.
In this year of cultural exchange between China and Latin America, the orchestra will go on to tour several countries in South America. The aim is to promote the history and culture of Chinese music and traditional instruments.
