China won't change its policy direction for foreign investment. That was the word Tuesday from Commerce Minister Gao Hucheng.
Gao quoted President Xi Jinping's words on foreign investment. Gao says two more "no-changes" include: China won't change its protection of foreign capital's legal rights. The government will continue to provide quality services for foreign investment. Premier Li Keqiang said earlier that China should always be the hotbed of foreign investment. Gao said China would streamline the process for setting up foreign funded firms, improve the quality of free trade zones and lower the investment threshold in the service and manufacturing sectors.
