High-energy rock band Moderatto, from Mexico City, has made its China debut at “Meet In Beijing,” one of China’s biggest arts festivals. This year’s event coincides with the China-Latin America Year of Cultural Exchange.

This is the first time the Mexican rock band have performed in China, and their up-beat numbers electrified the packed house.

Moderatto, which has had multiple Latin-Grammy-Award nominations, is one of the most famous rock bands in Mexico, known for its high energy, glam-rock music. This year marks its 15th anniversary, and the band members are celebrating by touring Asia and Latin America.

Being a part of the 2016 “Meet in Beijing” arts festival is a dream come true. Initiated in 2000, the “Meet In Beijing” arts festival has become one of the most important platforms for cultural exchange between China and the rest of the world. This year, the event brings together nearly 400 Chinese artists and more than 400 international artists from 25 countries.
