Japanese demonstrators have taken to the street across the country to protest against the government's move in revising the constitution.

Tuesday is Japan's Constitution Day, a date to mark the enforcement of its postwar Constitution. The pacifist document was drafted by the US at the end of World War Two.

But the Japanese government passed a legislation months ago to lift a ban on its armed forces to fight overseas. It's the biggest shift in the constitution in decades. Protesters say the changes make Japan more likely to engage in foreign wars.
