Taiwan media are showing support for Saturday's repatriation of the suspects to the Chinese Mainland from Malaysia.

The United Daily News reports in its top edition, that the Mainland has informed the authorities, and has invited the corresponding department from Taiwan to visit the Mainland.

The Kuomintang party says the Mainland's act is in line with the Cross-Strait agreement on jointly combating crime.  On social media, some Taiwan residents commented it's not a bad choice the leave the issue for the Mainland. They say it's better than having them back on the island with light or even no punishment.

In mid-April, anger erupted when dozens of suspects sent back to Taiwan were immediately released with no further investigation. The newly-elected KMT chair in Taiwan, Hung Hsiu-chu, called on the authorities not to make the island an export center for fraud criminals. And law practitioners mocked the release, saying there was neither procedural justice nor legal justice.
