South Korean President Park Geun-hye has left for a three-day state visit to Iran. It's the first such visit by a South Korean president since the two sides established diplomatic ties in 1962.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Park will hold talks with her Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rouhani, on Monday. They are expected to discuss bilateral cooperation and the situation on the Korean Peninsula. She is reportedly also pushing for a meeting with Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The largest-ever South Korean business delegation will accompany Park. The 236 delegates are from nearly 200 enterprises and over 50 organizations.
