A truck bomb has rocked a suburb near the Iraqi capital of Baghdad. The Xinhua news agency quoted an Interior Ministry source reporting 24 people were killed and some 38 others wounded.

The attack occurred this morning when a truck went off at a crowded livestock market in the Nahrawan area in southeastern Baghdad. Many of the wounded have been sent to hospitals and medical centers in the city. We'll keep you updated as more information comes in.
