The Olympic flame has arrived at the United Nations European headquarters in Geneva on its way to Rio de Janeiro for the summer games.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, welcomed the Olympic Flame at a ceremony commemorating the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.

Other international organizations have also attended the ceremony. The flame is scheduled to arrive in the Brazilian capital, Brasilia, on Tuesday.
