Full coverage: 5th CICA Foreign Ministers' Meeting
Senior Asian diplomats have gathered in the Chinese capital Beijing for a two-day meeting under the mechanism of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, or CICA, to discuss Asian security.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday met with the foreign ministers of Turkey, Palestine and Pakistan. The ministers are expected to issue a statement on regional security issues and the future direction of the CICA.
Chinese President Xi Jinping will also address the opening ceremony on Thursday. Established in 1992, CICA serves as a significant cooperation platform for Asian countries, with 26 members and 12 observers.
