Fighting in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo has seen at least 30 people killed in the past 24 hours, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The number includes at least eight children. The bombardment by both the Syrian government side and rebels also wounded dozens more.
The British-based monitoring group said overnight air strikes and a rocket attack on an opposition-held area killed five rescue workers, who appeared to have been deliberately targeted.
Fighting has intensified in Aleppo province in recent weeks as a partial truce brokered the United States and Russia broke down.
