The 2016 Beijing Auto Show started today and will run through May 4. The exhibition is one of the leading shows in China. It takes place bi-annually in Beijing and alternates every second year with the Shanghai Motor Show.

China is officially the world’s biggest single new car market. Twenty-five percent of all vehicles built in 2015 were purchased by Chinese customers. 

Analysts expect this year’s exhibition to help set trends for the auto industry as China’s tastes are beginning to shape styles well beyond the country’s borders.
