Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has made an offering to the Yasukuni Shrine, despite China and South Korea's calls to stop such a provocative action.
It's reported that Abe sent the offering as a private person. Other lawmakers are expected to pay their respects there on Friday. China had repeatedly denounced Abe's offering and visits of Japanese cabinet members. China demanded Japan face up to history, and deeply reflect on its past aggression.
Chinese Foreign Ministry once said that Japan should make a clean break from militarism and gain trust from its neighbors and the international community with real action.
