An explosion has rocked the Afghan capital, Kabul, during the morning rush hour. Afghan President Ghani says several were killed and wounded in the blast that targeted security agency offices. Hospital official says it has received eight lightly wounded Afghan soldiers.
Witnesses say thick black smoke was seen rising from near several government ministries and security agencies, as well as the US embassy. The area is also to the headquarters of the main NATO-led mission in Afghanistan. Kabul police reported gunfire in the area immediately after the blast.
