"Despite a few differences in handling bilateral ties," Lu Kang, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman said, "China and India are willing to effectively control and solve relevant problems through friendly negotiations. I want to stress that both sides are the largest developing countries and emerging economies, and two important powers in multiple polarization of the world. We are willing to work with India, to make new progress in building a peaceful and prosperous strategic partnership."
