South Korean media says the preparations for a fifth DPRK nuclear test are in their final stages.
The Yonhap News Agency reports that a surge in activity at the DPRK's atomic test site suggests a fresh nuclear test is possible before the ruling Workers Party Congress in early May. The report says the frequency of vehicle, workforce and equipment movements at the Punggye-ri site have increased two to threefold since last month.
It cites South Korean government officials, who said they believe the trucks seen moving in and out of the complex, are likely carrying nuclear technicians.
