Chinese premier Li Keqiang has held a welcome ceremony for the visiting Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in Beijing. Both leaders held talks and signed bilateral cooperation deals, covering several areas including innovation, tourism, and mining. This is Turnbull's first visit to China since taking office in September last year.

He leads a largest-ever trade delegation, with over 1,000 business representatives. He started his two-day visit in Shanghai, and will meet with Chinese president Xi Jinping, as well as attend the annual China-Australia prime ministers' meeting in Beijing.
