Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff says she is confident that her supporters will deny the opposition the votes needed to bring her impeachment case to the upper house of parliament.

If she survives the Sunday vote, Rousseff will propose a new pact to establish a unity government. The Brazilian leader made the announcement at a press conference in the capital, Brasilia, Wednesday.

“I am sure that Brazilians will be with me on the 15th, when the debate about the impeachment starts in the lower house. And we will win that battle, the battle against the coup, against an impeachment that has no basis in law,” Roussef said.

“And starting next week, after we turn that page, we will start a new pact to overcome the crisis and jumpstart economic growth. We will continue with our work but also call for the entire country to join us in a national dialogue, for everything, not just for politics but also business. For workers and everyone who wants a better Brazil.”
