During a press conference, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson says the US should not politicize human rights issues in an attempt to interfere in China's stability and development. 

"China can openly communicate and improve the situation of human rights with other countries on the basis of equality and mutual respect,"

"But I want to remind that no country should use human rights issues to be an excuse to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries," said Lu Kang, spokesperson of Chinese Foreign Ministry.
